About Us

HeliPower Ltd bought over Aero-Heli in 2014 to ensure continued quality helicopter services from Newtownards and accross Northern Ireland. HeliPower Ltd has one Robinson R22, one Robinson R44 and the use of a Bell 206 Jetranger when required. HeliPower pilots have experience operating throughout the UK and Europe on various types of helicopters including As350/H125 (all variants), B206 Jetranger and Longranger and Cabri G2 .

Based in Newtownards, HeliPower is situated in a prime location to serve Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Aerial work has been carried out for clients including BBC, UTV, HBO (Game of Thrones) and many other news and media companies.

HeliPower has state of the art premises, which includes briefing rooms for our students along with a large conference room available for hire. The association with Northumbria Helicopters gives us access to a fleet of helicopters and pilots accross the UK and Ireland.

HeliPower is continuously growing and seeks to further develop its client base and market share in the aviation industry by breaking further into the UK and Irish markets. We operate under Northumbria Helicopter AOCGB2257 for public transport flights.

  • Jonathan Beckett

    Jonny has been flying for 20 years and as a result has a wealth of experience of flying various aircraft. He has worked with all of our students, passing on his knowledge and expertise, in helping many go on to complete their PPL(H), Type & Night Qualifications. Jonny holds radiotelephony, ground & flight examiners ratings and is the owner of the company. Jonny has over 3500 hours flying helicopters and almost 1000 hours fixed wing experience.

    Andy has been flying for 5 years and works part-time for Helipower flying pleasure and charter trips, he has recently underaken the Flight Instructor course and will soon be teaching our students.

  • Paul Rylance

    Paul works as front of house for HeliPower. He is the main point of contact for students and customers. Paul holds a PPL(H).

HeliPower fleet

  • The fleet consists of 1 Robinson R22 and 2 Robinson R44 aircraft. Proficiency Checks can be carried out on R22, R44, B206 & B206L and all variants of the As350 at Newtownards or a site of the owners choice with our in house CAA examiner. We also have a FAA instrucor avalable to carryout Bi-annual Flight Reviews.
